water, rock and tree

Rock cannot lean on water
For it will fall and crumble.
Water cannot gain solidity from rock or tree
Though it can collect inside the rock or tree
And can also make rough earth soft.
Water can be mightier than tree
But the tree often still remains
With one root clinging to the ground.
