I did something interesting today where I diagrammed the emotions in each phase of my Cairo Caravan dance. It forced me to choose a lot of different adjectives to describe different parts of the piece. I also had something of an emotional breakthrough with it. I think writing this out really helped, since I am such an abstract and verbal thinker.
The technique is getting better, but it's making me realize how long I've gone without refreshing the jazz and modern basics =(
